My husband saw a special spark in my photographs and called it ART. I felt embarrassed. He said that I frame my photos the way that he frames the world. He called me an ARTist and I felt even more embarrassed. He said that through the ART I create that he knew we saw the world the same way and should spend our lives together. He really saw ME and has helped me to see ME too! I would probably still be just another collector of dusty old memories without him, instead of trying to put my skills to good use.
I am excited about community development and strengthening the bonds between individuals until they can truly be viewed and understood as a collective, separate parts of a whole. I believe that ART is the way! By inspiring public pARTicipation, I know we can learn to relate to each other on a deeper level and share in more meaningful experiences.
THAT is what Artlandish Pursuits is about. Through photos and essays, I’ll tell you stories of awesome local ARTists and personalities I meet, super sweet regional events that are happening, ponder the meaning of life, and share photos of the odd-ball kind of found ART that I live for.
I want to bring ART to the table every day and see what happens!
